Greetings Friends and Neighbors,
I hope you and your families enjoyed a safe and joyful Labor Day weekend. While the calendar
may say the “dog days of summer” are behind us, the South Texas heat will remain with us well
into late September and even October. Please continue to take precautions—stay hydrated, limit
outdoor activities during peak hours, and check in on neighbors who may be more vulnerable to
the heat. A simple call or visit can make all the difference.
On another note, I am pleased to share some important updates regarding our community’s
finances. We have recently adopted the budget for 2026, which reflects both careful planning and
fiscal responsibility. The budget includes estimated revenues of $924,182 and projected
expenditures of $800,600. A detailed copy is available on our website under the Financials
section for your review.
In addition, as required by law, we have also adopted the official tax rate for 2025. The full
resolution can be found under the Agendas section of the website.
Together, these steps position us for a strong and successful year ahead. As always, our focus
remains on serving our community with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to excellence.
With warm regards,
Jason Peña, President
September 5, 2025
